Frequently asked questions
What happens if I don't report guest data to ses.hospedajes?
Penalties under RD 933/2021 range from €100 for minor offences (late submission) to €30,000 for very serious offences (repeated omission or false statements). Liability rests with the activity holder — the owner, not the booking platform. At CABANA we submit on time and keep receipts for 3 years, so operational liability is covered.
Has the paper police register been discontinued?
Yes. Since 2 December 2024 submission is 100% telematic via ses.hospedajes. The physical book is no longer required, but submission receipts and data must be kept for 3 years.
Do I have to report data for children under 14?
Yes — data for all overnight guests must be reported, including children under 14. The difference is that minors do not need their own ID document; they are linked to the responsible adult who provides theirs.
Can I register on ses.hospedajes myself and delegate only the submission?
Yes. Registration as a reporting entity is done with the owner's digital certificate on the Ministry of the Interior website. Once registered, you authorise CABANA as your delegated agent and we submit on your behalf. We guide you through registration at no extra cost when we manage your property.
How many data points must be reported per guest?
18 mandatory data points per adult guest: full name, gender, ID type and number, nationality, date of birth, home address, landline and mobile phone, email, relationship to accompanying minors, transaction data (contract reference, payment method, payment holder, card or IBAN, expiry date, payment date) and accommodation data (address, number of guests, check-in and check-out dates).
